Our 48th FBWA Conference will be hosted by the Southern District BWA in San Diego this October!
This year’s theme, Kako wo Omoi, Asu wo Hiraku, meaning “To Remember As We Build for Tomorrow”, invites us to reflect on the contributions of those before us while moving forward together in community.
The weekend will feature keynote speakers, workshops, thoughtful discussions, and opportunities to connect with others in Sangha.

How to Register
Registration is completed online through the official conference registration link. A confirmation email will be sent after submission. Payment must be received to finalize your registration.
Each person needs to fill out the registration form, but payment will come from chapters. The conference committee will send an invoice for all registration fees to the chapter in late June/July.
If you are not affiliated with a BWA chapter: Please complete the Conference Registration form and mail the Conference Registration Voucher (the email confirmation) with a check made out for the amount due to BCA FBWA and mailed to OCBC: 909 Dale Ave., Anaheim, CA 92804.
Complimentary Registration
Registration will be complimentary for all Retired BCA ministers, their spouses, and widows and widowers of past BCA minsters.

Delving into the rich traditions of Buddhism through its symbolic objects and various types of robes. At the end of the workshop, take home your handmade onenju.
DIY Mini-Obutsudan and Creating a Sacred Space in your Home

Explore the components of a typical onaijin and learn how the obutsudan supports daily Buddhist practice and mindfulness at home.
Preparing for a Jodo Shinshu Funeral

Planning for yourself or a loved one.
Tai Chi for Balance and Wellness

The workshop will introduce essential Tai Chi concepts through active participation in three core areas.
