Visit Our Temple
Join us for a welcoming, reflective service, open to all.
All Are Welcome
Visiting a Buddhist temple for the first time can feel unfamiliar, but you don’t need any prior experience to attend a service at the Buddhist Temple of Marin. Whether you are exploring Buddhism, visiting with family, or simply curious, you are welcome to join us just as you are.
Our temple is part of the Buddhist Churches of America (BCA) and follows the Jōdo Shinshū (Shin Buddhist) tradition. While each service has its own rhythm, our focus is always on listening, reflection, gratitude, and compassion in everyday life.

What to Expect at a Service
Services at the Buddhist Temple of Marin are calm, welcoming, and accessible to newcomers. While each service may vary slightly, you can generally expect:

A calm, respectful environment with time for quiet listening and reflection
02

A Dharma talk offering reflections on Buddhist teachings and everyday life
03
Shared Traditions

During a service, you may notice:
-
Chanting in English and/or Japanese
