The Institute of Buddhist Studies will host a virtual Graduation and Commencement Ceremony at 1 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time) Friday, May 21 via Zoom.
Not only will May 21 celebrate Shinran Shōnin’s birth, but this year IBS will recognize 11 individuals who completed their degree or certificate programs in both 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. In addition, IBS will also honor Rev. Dr. Seigen Yamaoka for his lifetime of service to the Institute by presenting him with Professor Emeritus status.
