The BCA Technology and Outreach Committee (TOSC) is launching a new monthly webinar series beginning June 22 called “Grow Your Sangha,” created to help local temples grow membership and engagement across the BCA.
Many temples are searching for new ways to welcome families, reconnect with former members, engage younger generations and build stronger communities.
At the same time, several temples have found creative and successful approaches that are already making a meaningful impact. The goal of “Grow Your Sangha” is to create a space where temples can learn directly from one another through practical, real-world examples.
Each monthly session will feature temple leaders and guest speakers sharing outreach strategies, lessons learned and community-building successes.
The first four webinars will focus on temples that have driven membership growth in recent years, with presenters discussing the unique approaches that worked within their local communities.
Topics for future sessions may include:
Social media and digital outreach.
Website design and messaging.
Email newsletters and communication strategies.
AI (artificial intelligence) tools for temple outreach and marketing.
Community events and engagement ideas.
“Grow Your Sangha” reflects one of the many ways the BCA helps support local temples by creating opportunities to share ideas, build relationships, and learn together.
The first webinar on June 22 will feature Rev. Dr. Jean-Paul Contreras deGuzman, of the Buddhist Church of Santa Barbara, sharing outreach and engagement strategies that helped grow temple membership.
