The Dharma Forward campaign has been fortunate to have support from many in the Sangha and is nearing 31 percent toward its $15 million goal.
All members and friends of the BCA were mailed a campaign brochure in December highlighting the four pillars of Education & Programs, Outreach & Technology, Ministerial Support & Scholarship, and Facilities & Operations.
By bringing together the structures of the BCA alongside those of the IBS, the campaign is poised to support the pillars for a sustainable future.
In upcoming months, more in-depth coverage about each pillar will be shared in the Wheel of Dharma.
In the meantime, progress has been made among the resolution items voted on at the 2019 National Council in Phoenix, including technology in the Central District, repair and upgrades toward supporting rental income from the BCA Parsonage, safety and maintenance issues at both the Jodo Shinshu Center in Berkeley and the BCA Headquarters building in San Francisco.
As these resolutions are met, Dharma Forward will be able to continue looking forward to exciting new developments within the four pillars and will build upon our current landscape to strive for sharing the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha in a comprehensive and sustainable way in the future.
