As we approach the end of this year and prepare to welcome a fresh start in 2026, we reflect with deep gratitude on 2025.

Thanks to your generosity, the BCA Dana Program continues to be a vital source of support for the everyday activities that keep our Sangha connected, enriched and inspired.

Dana means generosity, openness and the capacity to embrace others with compassion and love. Shinran Shonin’s life of gratitude continues to reach our hearts today, reminding us that giving is one way to signify appreciation and pay it forward.

Your contributions to the Dana Program make a profound difference. Last year, your generosity provided $101,000 to the BCA budget. This essential support reduces the financial burden on temples nationwide and enables BCA to offer high-quality programs that allow all — whether new to Jodo Shinshu or seeking support on their path — to hear and experience the Nembutsu. Dana is not a distant concept; it fuels the everyday activities that allow our community to thrive.

Through your support, BCA is able to fulfill its mission to “Connect, Enrich, and Educate”:

• Connect: Linking Sanghas across the nation, strengthening engagement and supporting national, district, affiliated organizations, and temple activities.

• Enrich: Preserving and innovating upon 2,500 years of Buddhist tradition, supporting ministerial education and deepening the knowledge that enriches every member and visitor.

• Educate: Providing workshops, seminars, youth programs and resources through the Center for Buddhist Education, allowing us to learn, grow and flourish together.

We humbly invite you to continue supporting annual activities — ministerial training and ordination, learning seminars and get togethers, and practical matters through the Dana Program.
